JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY: The ideal candidate has experience scaling a fast-paced e-commerce company and requires proficiency in operational excellence, process optimization, analytics, and customer service. You will be responsible for honing in on optimizing our unit economics and making cost improvements, ensuring our
operational process delivers amazing customer experience, and supercharging our growth by having operations
enable sales and marketing opportunities. You will oversee core operational functions such as supply chain,
order/inventory management, and customer experience. You should be familiar with eCommerce and retail
processes, and ERP systems such as SAP or Netsuite, and take a direct role in supporting the finance team with public or private audits.

The Director will ensure goals are met on a timely and cost-effective basis, they will motivate and spearhead
efficiencies in various aspects; oversee shipping and receiving, inventory management, and logistics planning.
Must be self-motivated, driven, and experienced in the CPG industry with a wide range of contacts. The ability to
plan, problem-solve, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload is a must. This position reports directly to the
COO/Co-Founder and is responsible for strategy and execution.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand Planning
• Translate sales forecast into a demand plan (how much inventory is needed & when)
• Establish production order cadence (Quarterly)
• Define production requirements (combination of sales, inventory & inbound units)

Production
• Act as the main point of contact for contract manufacturers and communicate with suppliers and vendors.
• Procure all components necessary for production and ensure on-time delivery.
• Create and submit Purchase Orders to produce finished goods.
• Manage Production Orders to ensure on-time completion.
• Reconcile production runs (collect & store documentation, confirm quantities, calculate yield)

Inventory Management
• Track and report inventory by location in systems (e.g., NetSuite and Excel)
• Establish and maintain reorder / stockout SOP.
• Restock inventory locations, as outlined in SOP.
• Provide accurate inventory reports and analysis.
• Produce statistical reports, complete a physical inventory, and perform cycle counts as required.
• Maintain reliable sources of ingredients and other material inputs, and track purchasing.

Warehouse Management
• Responsible for procurement, supply chain, equipment, maintenance, packaging, and warehousing
• Ensure the facility is always OSHA compliant and ready for any audit procedures.
• Comply with set budgets for product inventory, building, and equipment maintenance programs.
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure quality control, production, and staff efficiencies.
• Oversee all warehouse procedures, including inventory, shipping, and fleet operations.
• Troubleshoot, resolve and implement procedures to ensure consistent operation effectiveness.
• Keep accurate documentation of all inventory and supplies needed for production.
Coaching
• Outstanding people, coaching, and mentoring skills
• Responsible for managing, training, motivating, and disciplining all talent at the facility.

Administrative & Process Development
• Perform regular COGS optimization and analysis.
• Research and source suppliers, ingredients, and resources
• Document & optimize processes for all tasks that are in scope.
• COGS reduction in target areas (e.g. ingredients, freight, chargebacks)
• Evaluation of partner performance (co-man, 3PL, freight)
• Establish & track KPIs.
• Operational & supply chain risk assessment
• Supply chain redundancy (multiple partners, to hedge against risk)
• Identify opportunities for process automation & use of technology.
• Negotiate contracts, shipping, contract manufacturing, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5 years of CPG sales experience required, preferably within conventional CPG channels with
quantifiable and verifiable achievements.
• Proven experience meeting/exceeding annual revenue goals and driving existing business
Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment – willing to roll up your sleeves.
• Ability to project management across departments to keep sales deliverables on track for retailer sell-in
requirements.
• Ability to multi-task and complete projects independently and efficiently
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications with an emphasis on using Excel and numbers to tell a story.
• Experience managing a team preferred but must be able to work independently
